Giving yourself what you need, when you need it,
is one of the highest forms of leadership.
Not leadership over others.... Rather, leadership over your own energy. Your own vision. Your own trajectory.

And yet — often, the default is to wait. To look outside ourselves for the shift. To hope for things to shift. To hope the tide changes in our favor. But waiting for the external is a slow game. Counting on the tide is even slower. So if we're going to keep the promises we made to ourselves at the beginning of the year, we have to be willing to diverge from the default response.

The pattern? It's almost the same: Life takes over (as it naturally does)... days stack up, one on top of another, and we move with them, trusting that our intentions are still in there somewhere. Until, one day, we look up and can't remember what we said this year was for.

All while the current is still moving. And the longer we stay in it, the more natural it feels. The more it just becomes... the rhythm. The way things are. The way the year goes. Unless the question quietly surfaces:

Is this the current I chose? Or just the one I'm in?
Will I keep moving with the tide... or turn my body, feel the air shift, and move with my own current?
The tide only leads as long as we let it.

It all started 8 weeks into the New Year, when I realized I couldn't even remember my word for the year. "What happened to all that clarity and excitement I had just a few weeks before? Like, did any of that vision casting really matter?"
I started wondering what this could cost me if I just kept going this way... if I didn't lock back into the commitments and promises I made to myself. Would I get to December wishing the year had been more... like I had in other years?

Second Wind is my answer to that moment. An opportunity to pause. To remember. To consciously choose how to lead the rest of this year, so that when December comes, it feels like everything we said it'd be.
This is where we turn our bodies and move with our own current.
The best of 2026 is still ahead. And I can't wait to catch our second wind together.
